Itinerary & Cost
- Day 1 – Depart to Airport in Ghana.
- Day 2 – Arrive at Ghana Airport . Our driver, will meet us at the airport holding up a sign with your name on it. The drive to the Hotel is about an hour. Meet and greet lunch. Rest
- Day 3- 7am breakfast, our dedicated driver will pick us up for the 1.5 hour drive to clinic. We will gather our portable dental equipment and set up our outreach dental clinic. All day dental outreach. Pack up clinic at 5pm. Return to hotel for swimming, relaxation, games or exercise. The bar is open all night long. Rest
- Day 4 – 7am breakfast, 8am our dedicated driver will pick us up for the 1 hour drive to clinic. We will gather our portable dental equipment and set up our outreach dental clinic. All day dental outreach. Pack up clinic at 5pm. Return to hotel for change of clothing. 8pm dinner with Minister of Health at local restaurant. Rest
- Day 5 – 7am breakfast, 8am our dedicated driver will pick us up for the 1 hour drive to clinic. We will gather our portable dental equipment and set up our outreach dental clinic. All day dental outreach. Pack up clinic at 5pm. Return to hotel for change of clothing. 8pm dinner at local restaurant. Rest
- Day 6 – Same as Day 5
- Day 7 – Day of leisure. Relax at hotel or take a stroll through the town. Tour.
- Day 8 – 5am check-out of the hotel drive back to airport. Departure back to States.
- Day 9 – Arrival back in your home country in time
What is the cost for the trip?
These are the projected expenses for February 2018
Projected expenses: (subject to change)
Evacuation and medical insurance = $65
Vaccinations and antimalaria medication (Yellow fever vaccination is required for entrance into country) = ~$200( No medical insurance)
Air Transportation to Country = $800 – $1600
Entrance Visa from the US = $50
Transport from airport to Hotel = $40/taxi
Lodging at Resort Hotel = $94 /night for 7nights. (Shared room = $55)
Meals for Dining at hotels or area restaurants = $10-$18/meal.
Registration with Dental Council = $125 for assistants, $225 for dentists
